Storing Decorated Cookies
Our royal icing cookies are packaged according to your preferences. Whether you choose boxed or individually wrapped, you can enjoy the cookies for up to three months!
See below for additional information
Short-Term Storage
Cookies that are individually wrapped can be stored in a cool, dry place (such as a kitchen countertop) for up to one week. Storing the wrapped cookies in an air-tight container will prolong to two weeks. Boxed cookies should be moved into an air-tight container and can be stored for up to two weeks.
Long-Term Storage
If keeping the cookies for longer than one week, we recommend freezing. For freezing, boxed cookies, layer the cookies in between parchment (not wax) paper in an airtight container. For freezing heat-sealed (individually wrapped) cookies, you can layer them in their bags in an airtight container. Frozen cookies will last up to 6 months, but note that after 2-3 months they may lose some flavor/freshness. Please refer to defrosting instructions below for when you are ready to enjoy.
Thawing & Defrosting
When you're ready to defrost, simply remove them from the freezer, store in a cool, dry, place, and wait until fully defrosted before removing from the container. If you take them out of the container too early, the icing will bleed/melt as it defrosts. We typically recommend letting them sit in their container on the counter for six hours. We recommend storing for up to three months.
